 Compressor
Manufacturers make very few of their component parts. Most manufacturers
manufacture only their air ends (some even purchase them). All
other parts (separators, filters, lubricants, controls, bearings
etc...) are purchased from specialty manufacturers and are packaged
by the OEM's. |
 Manufacturers
territorialize their distributors and most manufacturers have
only one distributor in each market area. What does
this mean to you? You are paying list prices as your
local distributor has no competition and therefore no incentive
to discount their prices. |
 Becuase
of this monopolistic set up most compressor distributors feel
they have a lock on your business, as distributors are not allowed
to sell outside their territory, which means you cannot purchase
these parts from any other authorized distributor nationwide. |
 Be
careful of "Pirate" parts. These
are inferior parts manufactured off shore. These are NOT
the parts we sell or recommend. |
 Be
especially wary of the Oil/Lubricant jobber who "can save
you money" on inferior oil (which will ultimately destroy
your air compressor). |
